It is never too early to start reading to your child. Great for ages 0-6! While reading the book, please take the time to talk to your child about the view outside of their home and help them get curious about what they see other places they go- from outside of the doctor office window, to outside of Grams’ and Pop’s house! This book can help children learn empathy and appreciation for many different situations and experiences. Not one view is better than another, and we can always find beauty in our surroundings.

My Patio is a book from the perspective of a child inside of their home, looking out into the world with all of the wonder and imagination about what other children's experiences and views are! What they see through their windows is different from yours- and they are so curious about what you see. The child's voice in My Patio takes you along a path that describes things outside their home like succulents, bougainvillea, Buddha statues, sea glass, wind chimes, butterflies, and lizards, and imagines many different possibilities about what the reader may have where they live. My Patio offers young readers the opportunity to think beyond their experiences and use their imagination about what else is out there in the world.
